1. Who we are

imz-cosmetics.com is operated by IMZ Cosmetics Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16602054, with its registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom.

At IMZ Cosmetics, your privacy matters just as much as flawless eyeliner. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data when you browse our website, connect with us on social media, email us, or use our products and services.

2. What we collect and why

Account information. Your name, email, phone number and purchase history when you create an account. This helps us run the website, fulfil your orders and keep your account secure. We process this data to perform our contract with you and in our legitimate interest in improving your experience.

Order and service data. When you place an order we collect the details needed to complete it, including contact and payment information. If you share information about personal preferences, such as skin type or product concerns, we use it only to help you choose the right products, and always with your consent where sensitive data is involved.

Marketing preferences. If you sign up for our emails or SMS updates we will send beauty tips, product launches and IMZ Cosmetics news, on the basis of your consent. If you have purchased from us before, we may send occasional updates in our legitimate interest in keeping in touch. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing hello@imz-cosmetics.com.

Correspondence data. If you message us by email, social media or chat, we keep that information to help you and to improve our service. This is processed in our legitimate business interests.

Device and usage information. Technical data such as your IP address, browser type and how you use our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies. This helps us improve performance, fix issues and improve your shopping experience. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent.

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders and payments on our behalf
  • Payment processors
  • Our fulfilment partner, who packs and ships your order
  • Shipping and delivery carriers
  • Customer support, survey and review platforms
  • Anti-fraud providers, our professional advisers and our IT and cloud hosting providers

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Your order is fulfilled and dispatched by a third-party partner located in China. To ship your order we send that partner your name, delivery address, contact details and order contents. Some of our other service providers are also located outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we use the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. These are approved legal safeguards designed to give your data the same protection it has at home.

5. How long we keep it

We do not keep your data longer than necessary:

  • Account information: up to 5 years after your last update
  • Order and service data: up to 5 years after we complete the service
  • Marketing information: up to 2 years after you opt in, or until you opt out
  • Correspondence: up to 6 months after our last exchange
  • Cookies and usage data: kept only as long as needed

When your data is no longer required, we securely delete it.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to make the site work, for example to remember what is in your basket, and these do not require your consent. We also use analytics, personalisation and advertising cookies, which are only set once you accept them.

When you first visit our site you will see a cookie banner. You can accept, reject or manage your preferences there, and you can change your choice at any time by reopening the banner from the link in our website footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not stop you from shopping with us.

7. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:

  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • Object to processing that we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time
  • Receive your data in a portable format, or ask us to send it to another provider
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@imz-cosmetics.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will tell you if we need longer because your request is complex.

Exercising your rights is free, and we will never treat you differently for doing so.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please email hello@imz-cosmetics.com first and we will try to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113. If you live in the European Economic Area, you can complain to the supervisory authority in your own country.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the date at the top. The version that applies to you is the one published when you used our site.
